Comparing Traditional footings vs Bear Screw Piling
Most of you reading this will have used traditional footings as your 'default position'.
And when many builders and engineers first compare old-school footings and screw piling, they just look at the price.
That is understandable - but price alone does not tell an accurate story.
The value of TIME must be added to any comparison.
When you value TIME there is no comparison between Bear Screw Piling vs concrete filled drilled piers.
In almost every case, Screw Piling is quicker than old-school concrete-filled foundations.
All Knock Down Re-Build specialists know when the original house is demolished and removed there can be almost anything left in the ground.
And usually none of that 'anything' is good for traditional concrete-filled foundations.
Knock Down Re-Builds are the ideal application for Bear Screw Piling.
As well as the advantages of speed of installation and the reduced costs, screw piling has another significant benefit.
Screw Piling means minimal site disturbance and much less noise or dust or vibrations.
Specialists in Knock Down Re-Builds know they are almost always surrounded
by existing neighbours.
Any opportunity to reduce impact on these neighbouring properties means a smoother build.
After the demolition, Bear Screw Piling may be on site for as little as one day
to fully install your foundations.
Comparing that with the time needed for traditional foundations - that's another win for screw piles.
Plus - your following trades can commence work on site as soon as the screw piles are installed.
Add DAYS Back To Your
Construction Schedule
Using Screw Piles.
On a prepared, level site our screw pile installation is often completed in a single day.
You can commence working over the screw piles as soon as the installation is complete.
This can add back 2, 3, 4 or even 5 days into your construction schedule.
Our screw piles, manufactured from Australian BHP steel, are fully engineered.
Delivered to your site as a completed component, our system is Code Mark. Certified.
After Installation, you do not need to get your engineers to visit site and sign off on the foundations.
Let us organise this for you as part of our service
This photo shows screw pile installation in progress.
Notice: No Excavation or Open Holes;
No Risk of Flooded or Collapsed Footings.
No Need For Concrete, Steel Reo & Concrete Pumps in foundations..
No blow-outs in the concrete estimated
No waiting for concrete piers to cure.
No spoil to move or remove from site
Less trades on site means less supervision for you & also means less risk!
We get it!
Many builders and engineers have always used traditional concrete filled foundations.
With other builders we've helped who made the
switch to screw pile foundations,
this what we've found...
Once you use screw piles on your own project, you'll truly appreciate the speed.
You'll appreciate the simplicity.
You'll appreciate the cost effectiveness.
Rapid Speed of installation saves you TIME.
Greater speed = less time on site
installing your foundations.
And this TIME - this rapid installation - is a huge factor.
How else can you add so much time,
maybe 2, 3, 4 or more working days,
back into your construction schedule?
Not only are Bear Screw Piles faster to install - your 'following trades' can
get straight to work.
Because screw piles can accept full load immediately after installation,
Ask Bear Screw Piling to demonstrate how we can add days back into your program.

This is the simplest way to secure shipping containers, temporary buildings and other assets.
Once the screw pile is installed, the eye-bolt is threaded into the specially designed screw pile cap - and it's ready to be used.
Compare this screw pile + 5.1 tonne rated eye-bolt combination to say, using a one cubic concrete block as a tie-down anchor!
You can see how much less room our screw pile anchors take-up.
This means you can place more shipping containers and other tied-down assets closer together, as you may require - without dodging concrete blocks or water-filled IBCs.
Then, when it's time to move the conainers or other assets we simply return to site and unistall the screw piles.
Remediaton is a breeze - no concrete to remove, no holes to fill...
Rapid, Simple And Extremely Effective
Shipping Containers, Temporary Buildings and other assetts may require addition tie-down points - especially in cyclone prone regions.
Mining industry Standards Require blah bla but we do this...
Our 5.1 Tonne Rated Eye-Bolts thread directly into the top of our screw piles - giving a fast, engineered, rated fixing point that will last decades* - or as your needs change, we can uninstall the screw piles and remediate your site super-fast. .
